'I am going to Blog On' Icebreaker!

Tuesday, May 16, 2017

This weekend I will be headed to Manchester to Blog On MSI, my absolute favourite blog conference! I thought that this year I would actually join in the icebreaker linky and tell you all a little more about myself. So here I am answering some weird and wonderful questions...

Describe yourself in three words

anxious, awkward, happy

How long have you been blogging and what made you start?

It was 2012, I had just had my second child and I was bored! Somehow I had already befriended a fair few bloggers and so they encouraged me to join and it went from there. 5 years later and I am still going on and I love it!

What was the inspiration behind your blog name?

My blog name came from a nickname given to my babies as they were quite frankly huge! If I could go back now though, I would chose something that suited long-term as it is doesn't quite fit anymore.

What is the best thing to come from your blog so far?

I will be really cheesy here and say FRIENDS. I have made so many amazing friends who I love to see when I get the opportunity. Some of those friends were there for me when I was at my absolute lowest points in life and I will never forget the kindness they showed me.

Your most remembered thing from your childhood?

One of my favourite memories is from a holiday with my Dad and Stepmum. We were in Corfu in this small countryside area. There weren't many shops or hotels and the locals were lovely and friendly. One evening when walking back to our villa there were fireflies everywhere and I remember holding one in my hands and thinking it was the most magical thing I had ever seen.

Something interesting you might not know about me is...

Interesting means weird right? I like to dip chicken nuggets in strawberry milkshake at McDonalds.

Which social media platform best describes your personality and why?

Youtube. My Youtube channel shows that my life is a random mix of all sorts and that I am quite awkward when I have a camera pointed in my direction. However, I love to look back on the memories and so try to film as often as I can so we can look back on our adventures!

What is your happy song?

I have so many songs that make me happy. I spend most of my time listening to music. I have songs that remind me of different times in my life and different people and so I really couldn't choose a particular one. Music in general makes me happy.

What is your favourite alcoholic drink?

Pimms and lemonade but it has to be made properly with fruit and sliced cucumber and mint obviously. It makes me crazy happy when I order it on a night out to find it has been made properly!

What is your favourite cake?

This is probably the hardest question ever! I love carrot cake, lemon drizzle, chocolate cake or anything with salted caramel! Cake just makes me happy!

What is your favourite takeaway dish?

It is too hard to choose between pizza and crispy duck pancakes! Totally depends on my mood.

Where is your dream holiday destination and why?

Italy. It is somewhere I have always fantasised about visiting. I would like to tour it as there isn't even a particular city I would like to visit. I want to see it all!

What would your superhero name be?

All the good names are taken by actual superheroes!

If you had a magical power, what would you want to have and why?

I didn't even need to think about this as I have already given it deep thought many times. I would want to be able to shape shift because then you could blend in anywhere when needed.

What one weapon would help you survive a zombie apocalypse?

A cloak of invisibility.

If you could send something into space what would it be?

How wrong would it be to choose one of my children?

What would you have on your gravestone?

'A Queen until the end'

You make headline news around the world in 2 years time... but for what reason?

It would probably be because one of my friends had encouraged me to do something stupid with them.

If an EMP wiped out all mechanical forms of transport, how would you get to Blog On?

That is where my shapeshifting would come in handy and I would shape-shift into a bird of some sort.
