In The Night Garden Bath To Bedtime

Thursday, November 03, 2016

I think it is safe to say that every parent has heard of In The Night Garden. It is a bit strange, then again I used to watch a show about mice that lived on the Moon when I was a child. Kids love the unusual and the more imaginative the better. All three of my children have been In The Night Garden fans, with Elsie taking a big interest at the moment.

Golden Bear have recently released a new range of toys from In The Night Garden and we were lucky enough to be sent some to try out.

Bath Squirters

We actually already had these which we bought ourselves as part of a bath boat set and the kids use them every bath time and as all three of my kids still bath together, they now happily use both sets at the same time and we have less arguments about who has which character! I love giving the kids a bath before bedtime to help them relax before they go to sleep. They love to play together in the bath which is nice as it is the one time that none of them feel excluded when it comes to playing and having character bath toys that they all know and love really helps that imaginative play and bonding.

Igglepiggle's Bedtime Boat

The iconic boat from the TV show, aims to soothe your child sending them off to sleep. The bedtime boat projects a colourful array of stars onto the ceiling, has 10 short stories and a range of lullabies. It can also be used as a nightlight which automatically turns off after 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

Elsie loved this the moment she set eyes on it. She recognised Igglepiggle and was happily pressing the buttons before it had even been removed from the box. The lullabies and light projector are her favourite features. It really captivates her. The best part is, when you have just bathed your baby and they are super relaxed, the lullaby really helps them drop off to sleep so quick it is like magic!

Musical Makka Pakka with Light Up Friends

Super soft and cuddly, this adorable Makka Pakka soft toy sings soothing lullabies whilst you watch his friends Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy gently glow in different colours on his tummy. It is all done by simply pressing his hand so is easy to use from a young age and he makes the perfect bedtime companion.

This is another lovely calming toy. Zach has actually claimed this and slept with it every night since we opened it. I often here the sounds come on if he wakes in the night as he presses it to help him get back to sleep. The sounds are so soothing and brilliant to help them nod off.

In the video below you can see what both Iggle Piggle's bedtime boat and musical Makka Pakka do and if you watch through you will actually see Gracie falling asleep while we were filming the toy. The dark room and calming sounds made her so relaxed she couldn't keep her eyes open!
