Hot Cookie Dough Dessert (Dairy Free)

Monday, October 17, 2016

A few weeks back, I made some cookies with Gracie and we made way too much cookie dough. Of course the first idea to cross my mind was to create a hot cookie dough dessert. Here is how we did it; Ours was also dairy free but you can make substitutions for a non-dairy free version.

225g (1cup) caster sugar
300g (2 cups) plain flour sifted
200g (1 cup) butter melted (Vitalite for Dairy Free)
1tsp vanilla extract
1tsp of baking powder
A pinch of salt
100g-200g of chocolate

Place the sugar and melted butter together in a bowl and mix well.

Sift the flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt together and add to the sugar and butter mixture. Add the chocolate at this stage. (You can add dairy free chocolate to create a dairy free version of this dessert).

Mix together until a dough-like consistency. Place in an oven friendly dish.

Heat oven to 200c and cook for around 7 minutes before reducing the heat to around 160c for another 5-10 minutes depending on how crispy you want the top layer.

Best served warm!

Here is how ours turned out! It was so tasty and this size would definitely make at least 6-8 portions as it is very sweet!
