Review: nspa Skin Glow Mud Mask & Brightening Day Cream

Sunday, January 24, 2016

In the past I have dabbled with cheap face masks for pamper nights but I have never used a proper face mask specifically for the benefit of my skin. I wasn't blessed with flawless skin. Some parts are very dry and look worse when I apply make up and I have very oily skin on my nose/cheeks/chin. It doesn't help that I tend to neglect it a bit and never stick to skincare regimes for long.

I couldn't wait to try out the nspa Skin Glow Mud Mask. The Skin Glow Mud Mask is a deep cleansing mud treatment with Kaolin clay and charcoal to draw out dirt and impurities. It also helps to reduce pores and improve skin condition. I used a small amount to layer thinly over my face. When applying I thought perhaps I hadn't used enough, until moments later I couldn't move a muscle on my face! It dries so quick. I was quite fascinated so sat with a mirror watching it work it's magic, I was surprised to see dark spots appear on my oily parts after just 5 minutes! I have to say I found it both amazing and a little disgusting at the same time that my skin was hiding that dirt.

After 15-20 minutes, the mask cleaned off nice and easy with warm water and my skin felt so soft already. I then applied the Brightening Day Cream with SPF15 which is a light day cream with natural vitamin E, sweet almond oil and radiance boosting maca root to replenish and restore skin throughout the day. It smells and feels great on your skin. I felt so refreshed and relaxed after using it.

My skin was so soft and my pores noticeably smaller for days after use, with just a small amount of brightening day cream used daily and one mask application. It shows that you don't need a complicated, time-consuming daily skincare routine. With the cleansing mud treatment once or twice a week and the day cream used each morning, I can see my skin improving greatly and hopefully with that, so will my confidence.

All the nspa products are available exclusively at Asda. The Skin Glow Mud Mask costs £7 and the Brightening Day Cream is £6. They are currently on offer for 2 for £8 too which is a massive bargain although I would still happily pay the full price!

I was sent the items featured free of charge for the purpose of this review but all opinions are my own.
