Review & Competition: Ellie Bean Prints A4 Print

Monday, November 16, 2015

I was recently offered a print of my choice from Ellie Beans Prints. As I have recently decorated my bedroom and created myself a nice desk area, I decided that what I really wanted was a nice motivational quote to look at whilst working at my desk. I had almost been tempted by the family prints but I would have liked one in my Kitchen or hall, both of which are still on my decorating to do list so can wait until they are done. I couldn't quite find a quote that I felt suited me on the EllieBean Prints website, although they have lot's of great ones I felt that I wanted something 'different'. So I decided to use their bespoke service and come up with my own.

I spent a few hours searching online for quotes from my favourite films, books and even TV series before eventually deciding on a great one from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I went back to them at Ellie Bean Prints and told them exactly what I wanted. I told them I wanted this particular quote 'Why sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast' I told them my colour scheme is navy and so I would like the print to match that, I also decided on a font with help from them. They were so helpful and said they would get back to me ASAP with some possible designs and in less than 24 hours I had three photos emailed to me of prints to see what I thought of. I was sent one simple black/white with a black background and white writing, one navy background with white writing and the third was white background with navy text. They all looked great but I decided to stick with the navy colour scheme. It was a tough decision between the two navy prints but I eventually chose to have a white background as I had a plain black A4 size frame at home already and I thought this one would look better with the frame.

It arrived well packaged within a few days of me approving the print. I then popped it straight into my frame and onto my desk where I think it looks great! I am umming and arring about putting it up on the wall above my desk to avoid my desk starting to look cluttered. Either way, it looks great and I am really pleased with it.

I am also quite pleased that they liked it so much they have added it to their shop. Which means you can now pick up this print in the shop for £15 (A4 size) rather than pay the added £5 for a bespoke print. I do think that the extra £5 for a bespoke design is a brilliant price though if you have an idea in mind that you want to see in print. The print itself is fantastic quality and I wouldn't hesitate before buying one for family, friends or another for myself!

Not only have they sent me one to review but they have also offered me a £15 voucher to giveaway to one of you lucky readers! This will cover one A4 size print (or a smaller size) of your choice from their website.
