Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Twitter Party

Thursday, October 22, 2015

Last week we were hosts of a Doc McStuffins Twitter Party along with UK TV Mums and a selection of other bloggers. At our party, we had five children altogether, that was my three along with one of Gracie's best friends and her younger sister. This meant we had two 4 year olds, one 3 year old, one (almost) 2 year old and little Elsie has just turned 1. It was such a good range of ages for testing out toys! The aim of the party was to see what the kids thought of the new Doc McStuffins pet vet range of toys.

Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Bag Playset
The pet vet bag playset was a huge hit with all of the kids. The bag pulls open to reveal Doc's sparkly vet clinic tools including; scissors, hairbrush, otoscope, magnifying glass, tongue depressor, comb, stickers and a light up pet tag. The tools are very well made and the children loved using them to treat their favourite pet toys which they bought to the party. The only thing that I really dislike is the hanging tag on the case, it is very small and falls off easily, which I discovered when Elsie almost choked on it. I have now completely removed that part to avoid it happening again. I do however think the rest of the play set would be suitable from a young age.

Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Interactive Doc and Pets

Gracie and Zach were both big fans of this toy. They have been watching the new pet vet episodes on Disney Junior and love that the interactive doll sings the new pet vet song. She is also wearing the new pet vet outfit rather than her usual doc scrubs, which the kids noticed straight away. She comes with two pets (Squibbles is missing from the photo as the kids ripped it out before I managed to take a photo). There is a miniature pet vet bag included which does actually open which is a great bit of detail. The small tools can be used to make the pets better. I would advise to watch the small parts around young babies though as they are particularly small.

Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Plush Squibbles 'Jump and Go'

Squibbles is Stuffy's favourite toy pet and he is Gracie's too. As soon as we opened him up Gracie was smitten. You pull him back and he will walk. When he has finished walking he jumps. He is cute and fluffy with brush-able fur so is the perfect patient for any little pet vet. I would say out of all the toys sent he has been the most popular closely followed by the pet vet bag.

The kids all had so much fun playing with the new toys, playing games and decorating their own cakes. They then all got to take home a goody bag containing a Doc McStuffins magazine, figure and some yummy Bear Alpha Bites cereals and Whitworths raisins. They were certainly spoilt!

I think the kids all had a fair few items to add to their Christmas lists this year. Gracie has asked for a new Big Book of boo boos as she filled up the one she had last Christmas. Her friends Mummy has told me that her daughter wants the pet vet bag. Let's hope Santa's elves are working hard on the Doc McStuffins merchandise this year.

The Doc McStuffins Pet Vet range is available in most good toy retailers but you can see the full list of products on the flair website.

We were sent the items featured in exchange for this post and hosting a twitter party. All opinions are my own.
