A little ray of sunshine
Saturday, March 02, 2013Anyone out there will understand the day you wake up and open up the curtains to find the sun shining outside is a very happy day. Everything always seems brighter with sunshine.
I had an awful nights sleep last night, a nasty tummy bug has hit the house and last night was my turn to be sick so I was dreading getting up this morning to do the usual housework and run around after the kids all day. Luckily today was one of those days. I woke up and opened the curtains to...Sunshine! All of a sudden I got overly excited about being able to hang my washing outside! Us mums are quite easily pleased!
As my day had got off to a good start I felt motivated to get some housework done, get the kids ready and spend a few hours at the park. The park is Gracie's favourite place at the moment. She loves the slides and the swings and feeding the ducks. Today she even made Daddy's day by playing football, well kicking the ball and picking it up and running away as soon as Daddy tried to touch it. Then we treated Gracie to her first ice cream which was very messy.
After all the fun and fresh air i've been feeling great again this afternoon. It's amazing what a little ray of sunshine can do.
Happy weekend everyone!
