Happy New Year!

Monday, December 31, 2012

2012 has definitely been an eventful one for us, with finding out we were expecting again, moving house and welcoming our lovely new arrival! I'm hoping that 2013 will be another good year for us.

My hopes for the new year are that I will lose the extra pounds I've gained having Zach (and christmas certainly didnt help) and for us to go on our first holiday as a family of four although im not brave enough to venture abroad with two babies It'll just be nice to spend some time together somewhere new.

I can't wait to see what the new year brings but whatever happens I wish you all a year full of happiness and good fortune.

we look forward to hearing from you all over the next year,

mummy and the chunks

Happy Birthday Gracie!

Monday, December 31, 2012

Two days ago my baby turned 2! It amazes me how quickly she has grown and developed over the past two years. This time two years ago I had just got home from the hospital and crawled straight into bed with Gracie in her moses basket next to me. Crazy how much things have changed over the past few years.

She had a lovely day with lots of presents and a visit to Build A Bear Workshop in Birmingham before having a little family party. I want to say a big thanks to all our friends and my wonderful family for giving her a very special day.

Happy Birthday Gracie! (slightly belated as been so busy!)

Our first play group

Monday, December 17, 2012

Today me and the chunks visited a stay and play group for the first time. With Gracie being almost two I've been feeling guilty lately about her not getting to mix with other children and having a new baby around we haven't been out much. So I decided to bite the bullet and take her to a toddler group at a local church.

To be quite honest I've probably hesitated from doing this kind of thing before incase I turn up and find myself thrown into a group of clicky mums and dont fit in. Since having children I've lost contact with a lot of people and find that most days the only interaction I have is with a toddler, im sure I'm not the only mum that feels that way! The turning point for me was going to our works childrens christmas party last week with Gracie crying the whole time as it was so strange for her being around so many people and she is quite shy. I knew it was time for me to help her socialise with other children.

Pushchairs: Easywalker Sky: My First Impression

Friday, December 14, 2012

Before I had children I saw a pushchair as just something you use to push a baby around in. I knew nothing about the world of different pushchair brands and models. So when I was pregnant with Gracie I went into my local mothercare with my mum and bought the huge impractical overpriced travel system the member of staff told me was amazing, needless to say i hated it! The parcel shelf had to be removed and the wheels taken off to fit it in the car and if I dared to venture anywhere on the bus it was a fight to park it in the pushchair section.
